Over the past 40 years we have developed extensive knowledge and expertise on bending both hot and cold forged components, using both conventional and special purpose built machinery.
Our production lines of mechanical and hydraulic machines are fully computer programmable and can perform multiple bends using one setting. This ability has helped us acquire contract wins over competitors on a number of occasions.
Our engineering division uses presses capable of hot bending up to 150mm diameter bars and 400x80mm flat section. One of our specialties is the ability to form shackles that have initially been hot forged at each end in a straight unbent condition.
We have machinery dedicated to performing the twisting and bending necessary to meet the demands of the artistic ironwork industry. This has proven particularly successful when dealing with projects in the ornamental ironwork and heritage sectors.
On many special applications we have undertaken it has been necessary to design tooling and fixtures to accommodate both hot and cold bending operations on single components.
