Die Sinking...
We have been producing dies in our own on site die sinking facility. This has been an essential part of our manufacturing operation and has given us total control and flexibility. We produce our own specialist radius tools for the bending of various tubes and sections, including unique shapes and extrusions.

We also have specific machines to allow us to cut impressions in die blocks from a customers sample using a copy probe system. Complementing this are conventional milling and spark erosion machines, giving Brooks Forgings a comprehensive tool room facility.

With the advent of CAD facilities, the natural progression is to link this into integrated manufacturing solutions. At Brooks Forgings we are committed to the implementation of Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) solutions in die sinking, forging and machining. However we still believe it is important to retain the traditional tool-makers skills to be able to replicate the methods of manufacture used in our heritage products.

This resource also gives us a competitive edge in our Global Sourcing business, allowing us to produce tools in house to be sent to our forge in China.
