Replication...
Replicating ironwork from bygone years is a specialty of the Brooks Group, in which we are involved on a regular basis.
The scale of the work involved can be from a simple railing head or scroll, to even an entire panel of ironwork.
We have developed an extensive range of specialist machinery which is multi functional, and enables us to maximize production. This, allied to the traditional skills of our craftsmen, mean that our customers have the best of both worlds, traditional skills being employed using modern equipment. One of our machines can automatically replicate a set of forging dies from a sample.
All that results in our being successful in winning many contracts from traditional blacksmiths, since we are very much more competitive the more components are made in a batch.
A major plus for us is our in house tool room, an invaluable asset in the replication field. Our tool makers can produce tooling for particular functions from drawings, photographs and /or samples of the finished product.
Turnaround for enquires is rapid, and new tooling takes, on average, 3 to 4 weeks.
