Tension rod and compression strut systems for modern architecture in steel and facade construction.

At Brooks Forgings Ltd, we can supply and manufacture structural tie rods in many specifications and finishes. We understand that sometimes a standard item is not suitable for a particular application. Using in house facilities, we can manufacture specials to suit customer requirements. Our Tension System range is made up of the following components:

Fork Ends
Used on bar ends to ensure transfer load to the structure. Available in various sizes. Threaded ‘left hand’ or ‘right hand’ depending on tie rod arrangement.

Tension Rods
Tension Rods are supplied with 'left hand' and 'right hand' threads. Supplied to suit customers requirements. M6 - M100, lengths up to 12M can be accomodated for.

Cap Nuts Cap Nuts are used to lightly lock the tension rod and also protect the exposed thread.

Connecting Sleeves Sleeves are used as connecting parts between the tension rods if the system requires extending.

Compression Strut Systems
Compression Strut Systems are composed of the Forkheads and the main trusselements.

Connection Plates & Structural Attachments
Connecting Plates are required in frame constructions as central junction points.
